ah, the life update

I live in a house in Goleta, a twenty minute bike ride from UCSB, where I learn math and teach math (the poor undergraduates! Their education is so unfair!) and think about math all day. Then I come home and cook/eat dinner with my three housemates who are all also grad students. I have a Texas boyfriend (in Austin) and we are Serious. He doesn't wear a cowboy hat. He's actually super nerdy, about Kirby-tall, and from Charlotte.

I've spent most of the last year and a half trying to take care of my mental health. It got a little raggedy-fraying when a bunch of people died and I started grad school. I'm still in it but things are getting better, I think. Also I tried to run a half-marathon but ended up in crutches for two months instead.

I'm trying to leave this place, submitted a bunch of applications to transfer. We'll see how it goes, how it goes.

Came back and saw nostalgia at its finest

So I randomly came back here after having not visited for over 2 years. Holy cow, within the last few posts alone, the nostalgia kills me. Back in 2009, all of our lives seemed to painted with uncertainty. Now I look at my life now, and the things I said about my life in 2009 are hilarious. What the hell was with that comment in my #2, anyway? At that point in my life, I felt that that would never pass. Now it is so bygone, it's laughable.

Oh the things I have learned in the past 2.5 years.

I guess I will provide an update, so that when I or any of the other daisies come back here in 2014, we will be able to laugh again.

I am still living in Minneapolis, the greatest city in the world, in my opinion. I got my master's in Speech Pathology in about 2 years and a few months. I am licensed to practice in Minnesota. (what am I? Like some kind of doctor?) I work at a Charter School where all the students are Hmong. I am picking up some words in Hmong and work comfortably with Hmong in the therapy room with my students (despite my complete ignorance of the language) and with interpreters. I can read Hmong at the level at which my students only laugh at me occasionally. Work used to give me an anxiety that I wasn't sure I could control without the help of pharmaceuticals, but at this moment, I feel I have it under control. I get cranky when I don't sleep before 11. Most nights I'm in bed by 9:30.

I have a cat, who I adopted 2.5 years ago. Her name is Zooey. I also have a Minnesotan sweetheart. He's sort of like Paul Bunyan, but less burly, less lumberjacky, and plays more video games. He teaches Chinese. We talk about moving to China, but only temporarily. I don't plan on moving back to California any time soon. It feels weird to type that out loud.

We all went to high school together, saw each other through college (and post-college woes)--now both Amber and Annabelle are engaged to be married.

Congratulations to you both. I am SO EXCITED for these weddings to come!

It's Been Awhile

But for some reason, I randomly thought about the blog today. It just popped into my mind rather unexpectedly.

Not much to say, really, but a revisit now and then is nice. This blog is a part of our friendship, our memories. So, if once in awhile, you find yourself bored or nostalgic, come back here. This place needs a little love too.

I like reading these chapters of your lives, hope I get to make an appearance in the book eventually.

1. After spending a year traveling to those 14 countries, I believe I am officially tired of travel. Ready for a ticket to a domestic boring life, please. [Lived in Paris, Vietnam, and Budapest for a year]. Now doing higher level pure mathematics research in Potsdam, NY, a town of four main streets arranged in a [musical] natural sign, and having a blast. Applying for graduate school in mathematics and a Fulbright program to teach English in Vietnam, maybe. Like I said, tired of travel. Still dorking it up as much as possible, baking as much as possible, cooking vegetarian food (I'm not a vegetarian yet, but my roommate is so I am learning the wonders of eggplant). I miss writing a lot, but don't have enough heart to do math and writing, both of which are so emotionally draining. One year from now, I will have just graduated from school, four years of VSA, three years of fixing computers for the IT department, one year of traveling, and who knows how many relationships during those four years of college. I'll also have taken the GREs and hopefully gotten into both a grad school and some kind of one year do something somewhere program.

In the shorter term, went to Canada yesterday, going to Montreal for five days on July 25 when research program is over, then Seattle for one week, then Portland for five day math conferences and maybe I'll see Steven, then home for 14 days in August and maybe see some of you? and/or Santa Barbara, San Diego, Phoenix before going back to school.

2. What is the currency of value? A life? Money? Faith? Love? More importantly, what is my currency of value?

1. This one probably requires subcategories:

-I am working a lot. Right now I have a full-time internship with the Pasadena Symphony, which consists of me designing educational guides for the music programs that the symphony provides to 3rd graders in the Pasadena School District. If I am not working at the Symphony, I am working my part-time job at the USC Bookstore. In the past three weeks, I have only had one real free weekend, and that was the weekend I went to see Meghan's graduation (I'm glad it worked out that way).

I am tired. But I am also getting into a routine. I feel like I have a better handle on things now.

- The one thing I am looking forward to is going to Las Vegas come mid-August. It's to celebrate Ben's 21st, along with a few of my other friends'. It's strange how in this particular group, I am one of the oldest, when usually I'm one of the young 'uns. I'm going to see Beatles LOVE and I'm super excited!

- My room is a mess. Plus, I need to get a haircut to fulfill my end of the celebration reason for Meghan's Birthday/4th of July/Graduation/Going Away/Andy Gets A Haircut/Irene Bakes Cookies party.

- I had quesadillas today for lunch.

2. Maybe it's because I'm lonesome, or maybe it's because deep down I know that there's a part of me that will always harbor that love, or what I think is love. But maybe the real question isn't why. I know why. The question is "how long?" How long will it stay still? Or will it trickle? Or will it, instead, come bursting out at the most unpredictable moment, that damned dam of desires? And even more so, if I do let it all come pouring out, would I feel relief or regret?

Would I feel both?

1. I am moving to Minneapolis, MN to attend grad school. I have found a studio apartment there and intend on sharing it with my cat, which i will be adopting in MN. As of now, i am staying at home, trying to spend as little money as possible. In about 2 years, maybe more. I will have my master's in SLP and will most likely move back home in order to practice and save money to pay off my exorbitant student loans. (Damn you private college!) After that, i intend on marrying my sweetheart, moving to Minnesota and popping out a few kids. (Read: Meghan and Irene get an apartment somewhere and adopt as many cats as the law will allow for a rental. In Minnesota, that means 2.)

2. What in the hell is going on the mind of Joseph P. Styers? He is driving me crazy....literally and i wish to know exactly what he is thinking and if he understands what he is doing to me! Alack, impossibilities!

People... my darling, my dearest Daisies.

This silence has been for too long! I don't care that we all facebook/twitter/flickr/skype or whatever. I want a real, old fashioned, Daisy Gang blog post.

I propose two games:

1. Required: A full update on what you have been up to, as well as what you see yourself doing for the next 12 months, please.

2. Optional: Answer the following: what is the one question you have always wanted answered, but for whatever reason, have never received an answer to? Be as vague, ambiguous, or specific as your little hearts desire.

okay then...

1. I'm graduating FROM COLLEGE in 6 weeks, and I can't decide how I really feel about that because the time is going way too fast for me to latch on to one feeling or another about it. I'm trying to remember if I felt anything remotely the same at the end of high school, and I can't quite say a definite yes or no. Either way I have to say I'm definitely relieved to be close to being done with all the classes and extracurriculars which I have come to rely upon to fill my days and give me a sense of purpose. I'm trying to keep a healthy dose of senioritis about me, not worrying myself too much with schoolwork, because the good conversations I've been having with friends, among other things, and the realization that the routines of seeing certain people at certain times are actually kind of going to be gone quite soon, are making me want to cry!

Last Friday I found out that I was accepted into a program to teach English to middle school/high school kids in Chile. It's a six-month program, so I'd be leaving in July and back in time for various December holidays. I'm excited, because this is something I've been thinking and imagining steadily, if in the background, for nearly a year now. I have to admit at this point, though, that there are only a couple of things that scare me (or have scared me) more. I know I just have to get used to the idea being a reality and not worry too much about it all, but I do have some thinking to be doing in the next few days (they're only giving me a week to decide! egads!) Big girl decisions! Bahhh!

After that, I'll... do something else as yet undefined, all the while applying for grad school in either education or English (darn you poetry professor and your encouragement towards higher levels of education which I previously thought excessive and useless to me!) So in essence, I'm taking this year off... or as I've also heard it put, "taking this year ON!"

2. What on earth was supposed to be in that letter she said she was going to send later, but never did? The thought of what could have been still haunts me.

I found this today at the Sen Generro festival in Little Italy today. It's a real little daisy impressed unto resin which is then attached to a bracelet. I don't normally wear bracelets anymore, but I think I'll wear this one around.

And the best part? I'm not quite sure if we've already discussed this, or if somebody has mentioned this sometime before, but apparently, the daisy flower is supposed to symbolize friendship. They had all these other mini flowers there like forget me nots (for love), sunflowers (for happiness), even four-leaf-clovers (for luck). But I insisted on finding a daisy especially after finding out that it was for friendship.

Oh, the new things we learn every day.

I remember the last time i signed back onto blogger when it joined forces with google and it would not let me claim the Daisy Gang blog and so i have been silent on here for about 2 years...i think?

Anyway, it is so funny to think back on the olden days of technology when having a blog meant that you had to have a xanga, blogger or livejournal and all you could do was write blogs....weird huh? Damn technology.

And it is also funny to think about the olden days when our summers for the most part consisted of lounging around at home and a retail job was the only thing really getting in the way of hanging out. Life comes fast and crazy doesn't it? School, grad school, actual career relevant jobs, traveling, volunteer projects, tuition...it's crazy!

I haven't talked to the majority of you in a very long time. That makes me sad, but then again i was far away for a very long time.

Well, i am back. Does that make me happy? Truth be told, in some ways yes. In other ways America disconcerts me. Central America is AMAZING and i all suggest that you visit in the future.

Yen: I am so jealous that you got to go to Vietnam! I was planning on getting a volunteer job there for this summer but ended up going to Guatemala instead. I'm so jealous! And i totally forgot that i got you that phrasebook! I need to go back to my que huong...STAT! Everyone i meet tells me it's BEAUTIFUL. They were all Australian too, funny.

Darryl: You live in the Bay Area now? Sweet! I'm there quite often. I haven't had your number since well...some time during high school and i would like it so we can hang out! Are you living in Berkeley? Or some other barrio?

And do you guys realize that come September 27th, 2008...DG BLOG TURNS 5! 5 whole years have gone by! Wowee! And it all started with my post that stated that veterinary hospitals smell like piss.

It's nice to see that this is still in use.

So I was buying groceries today, and with my receipt I received a coupon for 4 OC Fair tickets for $4 each. This made me wonder who is in town and had a free weekday (Tuesday-Friday) between now and August 3rd and would like to go to the fair?

We have often said we wanted to go in the past, but I have never been able to go. So, can we dust off our planning skills and pull a group together?

I am free any Wednesday or Friday, or I can go on the weekends (except July 26). I think more people will have a free day on the weekend, but it will be more expensive and crowded. When is everyone else available?

Fireworks

As I sat on top of the roof of my fraternity house with my friends yesterday, watching fireworks flying up from the Colosseum, I realized that I was not with the Daisies. It was a bit disorienting, knowing that just last year we were at DB High, sprawled across the grass playing Twister while eating artificially-flavored cupcakes in birthday celebration. Our laughter had echoed the sparkling festivities in the evening air.

And so there I was on the roof yesterday. Different place, different friends. The fireworks went off- yellow, blue, red, multicolored - clashing against the Los Angeles sky. And yet they didn't seem as bright as I remembered them to be. It didn't feel the same.

We're all in different places this year...

Hi all, like Darryl said it's been awhile. I'm sitting in the airport in Taipei right now (w00t free wireless!) and am thinking about travel, and loneliness, and how where you are doesn't really matter, it's who you're with that makes an experience. Sitting in a Starbucks in a mall in SoCal is better than a famous cafe in Paris or Vietnam (eek!) if you're with two or three people you really care about, no matter how often or seldom you speak because you suck at keeping in touch. So yeah, I'm thinking of you all from halfway around the world as I await the next step in my adventures. Also, I am scared shitless of this summer. Irene, I forgot that crucial Vietnamese phrasebook you gave me many years ago! What will I do?!

Anyway, hope to see you all within the next few years (because that's the way it is with me and you I guess)!

Just wanted to say 'hi' to everyone. Haven't talked to most of you guys since...um...December was it? Can't recall.

Yeah, it's late and I'm still too lazy to wash up and go to bed...hahahha...

So for updating purposes: so I graduated and I got a job here. I didn't make it to grad school this time around (seriously tough competition), but I'll try again in a few years ...the difference being that I'll shoot for a MA in Philosophy first. I'll be living in the Bay Area.

Anyways, I hope all of you are doing well! Sorry I've been crappy about keeping in touch. 'Busy' is a poor excuse, but that's the only thing I can attribute it to! (Just FYI: I'm really good about email...mostly because I stay up late and night responding to them when I don't feel like sleeping).

Sorry I couldn't make it last time, but is anybody up for a karaoke night sometime? Whenever most everybody's around... I don't know when that is, but it sounds like a fun idea! I found a quaint little karaoke place in Garden Grove.

Note: this is noraebang, asian karaoke, not a karaoke bar. We'll have our own room to have fun and embarass ourselves only around each other as opposed to watching other people embarass themselves.

Thank you all
I was considering how I would get a card to you all, when I remembered I could simply post on the DaisyGang blog. Thank you all for the presents. The picture is up in my room; the bear is residing there as well and I watched the video the night it arrived on the doorstep. The choir concert was nice to hear and the elf dance and elf dance rendition were great to watch. It was nice to hear and see all of you and others (Nabila, Denise, and Santa Castillo).

Because I do not talk to most of you that often, here is an update on how things are going for me. I just finished my sixth round of chemo and fortunately, the last round of tests used to track the progression, or rather the remission, of the cancer all came back indicating that the cancer had become significantly smaller (for those of you who still choose to remember chemistry and physics might remember the section on MRIs, CT scans, and Nuclear Medicine). Currently I am at home before I get my next and hopefully last round of chemo. I should be going in for about a month at the end of January for a round of high dose chemo. After that I will likely undergo radiation therapy to eliminate the last of the cancerous cells. Then, if all has gone well, I should be able to return to school during the last couple of months of the school year. I hope all has gone well for all of you this year and hopefully I will see you all before too long.

Yes, that's right! It's Daisy Day here at UCLA, the day in which we celebrate our hopes for gender equality. They were passing out daisies all day today, which made me think of my beloved daisies, and I've been wearing it tucked behind my ear.

As I was walking back from class, a very dapperly dressed black gentleman stopped me and said...a beautiful flower...and a beautiful lady!

It made me kind of happy. So happy that for a moment I forgot that I have a big fat paper due tomorrow! Alas and alack.

Missin you like the deserts miss the rain! You know what's crazy? Irene's in Costa Rica, Yen's in France, I'm potentially heading for Argentina this summer...just a few more continents and we will have taken over this earth in the name of DAISY!

Thanksgiving

So I know we all want to get together that weekend, so when and where? Enchanted comes out that week (Wednesday, I think), so we should go see it. Do you have the whole week off, or just Thursday and Friday?

I have been wanting to go camping, so do any of you want to go with me? It would be Saturday and Sunday, and maybe leaving Friday night if people want to. Options are Joshua Tree, Slient Valley or some other place close by. I have all the equipment that everyone can use if you need it. If no one wants to go, then I will still probally be here that weekend. Just looking to get out and do something different.

I was organizing my calendar for the rest of the month, and I realized... It's November! And less than a month until Thanksgiving! My, how time flies. I'm really excited to see everyone again, especially those that didn't get to go home this summer (cough darryl cough). I hope everyone can make it home for thanksgiving, our reunions are always so nice.

Christmas seems to be coming earlier this year too. I went to South Coast Plaza the other day and they already have a christmas tree up! It's not decorated yet, but the rest of the mall is, and a lot of the stores are already playing Christmas music. I've also already seen starbucks with their red cups for christmas. I love that warm fuzzy feeling of Christmas...

The countdown is on! 17 days till thanksgiving. =)

Amber, that's so cool that you go and observe at Troy! Is it for a class or something? I'm considering going into teaching too, researching options and whatnot, but it is kind of weird to think that in five years or so I could be teaching kids that are only 10 years younger than me! Blows my mind! Jeez we're getting so old...

Today in Spanish we learned that there is this random settlement of like 30,000 Amish people living in Mexico. They moved there to escape religious persecution in the 1500's or so. How crazy and random is that? It reminded me of the sorts of things we used to post all the time on here so I thought I would share. I miss you all! I can't wait till Thanksgiving!

FYI, I have been going back to Troy to do observation hours, and have many notes. First, the Band had finished their field show by the first week of October (I saw the entire show, and while it needs cleaning and the guard is a complete disaster, it was pretty awesome). Second, their homecoming game is this Friday, and we are all invited. The theme this year is a Wicked Homecoming. Anyone interested in going?

Also, I got to observe Sawaya the other day. He is only there for zero period, but he is an awesome teacher (as most of you already know). Although that is the last time that I will observe a senior class this year. I went in, and the first person I saw was Elaine, who glared at me and demanded to know why I was there (wow, that sounded bad right there, but I found it pretty funny. Elaine was pretty nice). Then I saw Sarah Lee, who screamed and ran across the room to give me a hug. And a few others I recognized but didn't talk to. But I think the students scared me the most about that class, maybe because I knew them and they knew me as a fellow student, so it was just a bit weird. So this blog is on its last leg. Lets try to liven it up some before it completely dies. How so? Lets try planning something: Andy's 20th birthday!

So I am driving up to USC next weekend. Its up to Andy what we do (after all, it is the day we remember his miraculous birth), but suggestions are always good.

Hmm- lets see. Any ideas? Universal Studios (is it coke cans that we get free tickets with?), or spend some $$ and go see Wicked, or walk around USC all day, or be contrary and walk around UCLA all day (although what to do at either college is beyond me), or find an inter-city park and feed the ducks, or go on a photography spree around LA...

So Andy, is Saturday a good day? Can also do Friday or Sunday, and if you have a place to crash we can do multiple days (but I am not driving there and back two days in a row unless multiple people wish to carpool and the driving can be shared).

Carpools anyone? Who wants to come, what day, where to meet, and what to do? Lets try some CPR on this poor blog and leave comments. Will post end of next week final decisions (people, carpools, activities list, etc).

I'm back, daisies one and all! England was amazing on all fronts...except for the part where I had to come home, and come home to a number of you already back at school, and the realization that I have to go back to school in a matter of weeks. Drat!!!
Here is a video that I would like to share with all y'all that like a good folk singer...I heard her on BBC radio the first weekend I was in Stratford-upon-Avon (aka Shakespeareland!) and fell in love with this song. Too bad it will be ages before the CD comes out on this side of the pond... oh well.

This has been a strange summer, hasn't it? A lot of us have been flung to various places and we haven't done a lot of things all together like we used to. And now it's school time again, with some of us starting our THIRD YEARS OF COLLEGE, which is something I don't like to think about in too much detail as it is terrifying.
Our world is getting bigger, people. But I for one am glad that in the very center of it, where things matter the most, I still have you all.

Harry Potter Movie Night

So I know we are planning on going to see the midnight release of Order of the Phoenix, so how about we set a theater? We can buy the tickets now for the Brea Edwards at Birch for the 11:59 showing on Tuesday, 10th.

As for a pre-Potter party, my house is free (in Fullerton) and we can all meet sometime (earlier if we want to watch the previous movies beforehand), make dinner and go to the theater around 9 or 10. We can also try and put together some costumes or some other fun stuff.

If you haven't heard about it yet...

All I can say is, I am more impressed than anything else. For her to have stayed on campus for 8 months without getting caught is nothing short of a masterminded accomplishment. It's also a bit surreal to realize that she was in my classes and everything, and from someone who you would never expect to pull off a stunt as big as this.

At the same time, it's also quite frightening to consider what the parental pressure to get into a good college can do to a kid. It's ridiculous that people are calling her a psychopath or whatnot, because honestly, when a young teenager is pushed as hard as they are at Troy, there's really no telling to what extent they'll go to make people perceive them as a successful individual.

So I am sooo looking forward to this summer. Will we be going to the beach a lot? Because in microbio we tested local water samples for the presence of E. coli and guess what?? Both Newport Beach AND Huntington Beach had E. coli in them. And what's worse is that Santa Monica did not have any E.Coli in the water. Newport's water had a 21/100 mL count, whereas Huntington had a 200+/100mL count.

So lesson? Don't go in the water. At the very least in Huntington City Beach. =D

Just worth noting for our inevitable summer beach trips.

Hmm... And is there any chance we might drop by good ol' club 33 again this summer? That was fun last summer. ^_^

just finished up my final project for architecture, so the worst is over! so glad to be switching out!

So I decided to watch the new CW show, "The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll" because we thought it'd be hilarious.

All the girls got sick cuz there was a virus going around. So they actually showed the girls throwing up. It was disgusting. It was as if they intentionally zoomed in on the projectile vomit. We were laughing and disgusted at the same time. We were hoping they would throw up on the judges, just to keep the theme going.

Spring break next week... I cannot wait. I miss the beach so much.

Also thinking about going up to Berkeley, if parents let me go.

Fiyero Says Hi

I got a new betta fish. His name is Fiyero.

Isn't he gorgeous? At first I thought he was sick or something because betta fish are usually blue or red, not pinkish white. But apparently they come like this too.

Pretty...

He's kind of dumb though. You have to get his attention first when you want to feed him, otherwise he wouldn't even bother looking for the pellets that sink to the bottom of the bowl. Oh well.

I realize that I suck at test-taking now because you don't take a lot of tests as an architecture major- all you have are projects. I just failed my second midterm of the year.. boo! Well, by fail I mean "Troy" fail, not real fail. But still...

So, since I have been informed that some people don't read comments to find changes to the plan, I have created a new post for easy reference.

New Years eve at Meghan's place. Doing a gift exchange then as well. Bring food/ party stuff/ killer bunnies/ whatever you fell like. No time set yet, but most likely around 5/6ish. Ask Meg for directions/time/other needed info.

Talking of get-togethers, I won some free bowling at my parents church this morning. 3 games/shoes and sodas for 4 people at the concourse in Anaheim. Since I leave in less than 2 weeks, anyone want to go bowling before then? if more people want to come, we can all chip in and split the cost for the extra people. Maybe New Years eve as well, starting early in the afternoon and then can move to Meg's for the planned party? Anyone interested?

Daisy Christmas Extravaganza

So, its that time of the year again. And now to show that the last get together was not just a fluke in our planning skills, lets now plan the christman extravaganza!

Date: either the friday or saturday before Christmas (12/22 or 12/23). Lets have this date finalized by next week so that those of us with obligations of the work varriety can ask for the time off.

Time: 3 pm- whenever we feel like going home.

What we do:

Potluck at the park. Hillcrest Park, as a good central location. When the darkness comes, we can move to a house (and Hillcrest has three nearby houses for a possibility to move to. I am home alone for these three weeks, so my hose is open for a party to be moved there if need be). Sign up for food to bring to the potluck (as well as eating supplies and drinks).
White elephant gift exchange. Because we are all college students and getting presents for everyone is not in our budgets. $5-10, please.
Have a good hang out. Because we don't get much time to see each other.

Any other ideas that are reasonable (sorry, I don't think we will be able to pull off going to Hawaii for a loau) we can add to the list. So, inputs on date, food and whatever you wish to add are needed. Good luck on finals, and have very merry holidays!

Homecomming

So this years THS HC game happens to be this friday (the 6th). They have a good football team this year, won all 5 of the games so far, so it should be fun, not to mention the band (and their NEW uniforms!!!!).

last night the boys from downstairs came up the secret passageway to the hall next to my room and we played clue. i'm on the fourth floor so i climbed 35 flights of stairs yesterday. the gym is 9 floors high. the food is so-so, not as good as yours (kirby and meghan). it's beautiful, like darryl's campus (i think cal is pretty).

My dad heard back from the lady today and it turns out we CAN get in for Club 33 at Disneyland next Monday...but for dinner, not for lunch as originally planned. It's not that much of a difference, pricewise, but we'd be eating at 6:00 pm as opposed to 11 am or noon. I went ahead and had it booked for dinner...I know Annabelle and possibly Irene needed to leave earlyish for flights, so hopefully it won't be a problem? We should be done eating around 7:30 or 8, and potentially out of the park by 8:30 or so if need be. Does anybody have any problems with this, or are all systems go?
I'll be calling tonight to confirm details and such.

For all of those who are going to ContraDance (All 1 and a half of you):

Please Bring Water. Despite many objections by the scientific community...Dancing is a sport. You will get sweaty...and very dehydrated.

Wear Comfortable Shoes. And for some reason...converses don't count. They leave you with a nasty blister. Trust me on that one. However. Jelly Sandals do count. (I'm not sure how that works). Of you have dancing shoes, bring 'em.

Wear a long skirt. It will add to the experience. Don't wear pants, you'll just be chafing your ass off...literally. Obviously, this only pertains to girls. Boys can wear whatever the hell they want...but please...SOMETHING.

Okay, so Club 33, it is decided will be happening Monday July the 31st. So that everyone who is leaving for vacation can go.

Anyway i am here to give more details about ContraDance which is happening THIS SATURDAY JULY the 22nd. I'm just gonna say that i hope people are thinking of going. I strongly encourage it. It's very fun and the people are friendly, and the music is awesome. I will definitely going, so please come!

The dance will be occurring @ The Anaheim community center and the price is 8 dollars for non-members.

The dance will start at 8:00 and end @ 11, beginners should get their before 7:30 for there will be a free introductory lesson for this high energy, traditional dance.

So it comes to this: would any of you be interested in a Disneyland trip? I've talked of this before with unfortunately little result, and I am sorry for that. But are any of you still interested? It would, most likely, have to be one of the following dates:

Monday, July 31
Tuesday, Aug 1
Wednesday, Aug 2
Monday, Aug 7
Tuesday, Aug 8
Thursday, Aug 9

We could conceivably go after that, but I wasn't sure when you all are on vacation/going back to school/having dental surgery/etc. I can't promise you guys it will happen unless I can get a solid date set up, so I can tell my dad so he can set it up with the connection we have, but if I can hear from you all as soon as possible if you're interested, there's definitely a possibility that we can party it up Disney style. (Yay!)

Further details:

Approx. $60...for BOTH PARKS and lunch at Club 33, money can be given to me before if possible
Rides...to be arranged later

Well, i guess i should touch all bases so that ppl who are really bad at checking their emails (me included) get the msg.

Well, from what i can understand.

Darryl - no for the 13th
Amber - no for the 20th
Kirby - ish for the 20th

Well, since the D-man is keen on the coinciding with his birthday part. I guess it would kinda suck if we went for the day he can't come. So how about a wednesday? Wednesday 19th of July or Friday 21st of July. Checks your Schedules. I know Steven is off Monday - Wednesday (or something that includes wednesday) so that might include him. Er. Anyone? Anyone? And it can be a wonderful sticker occasion for the steven-man too since his is not too far away, 22nd of July.

Okay, i say that Thursday the 13th or Thursday the 20th be hereby be the extremely tentative dates for a DAISY SIX FLAGS outing. I've never been and the talk of the street is that the park will be closing sometime in the future.

I think it will be fun. A nice change of things. Anyway. Whathoooallllthunk? (What do you all think?)

And with the coke can discount tickets will be discounted to a cool 20 dollars a person. That is, if we come in even numbers.

And if Darryl isn't thinking of doing anything else. We will call it Darryl's outing. And get him an "it's my birthday" sticker.
